As part of the E-FORESTER project, a summer school titled “Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry in Environmental Research” was held at the Faculty of Geographical and Geological Sciences, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
The event brought together nearly 30 participants from Poland and Italy. Sessions were led by Dr. hab. Sławomir Królewicz and Dr. Jakub Ceglarek from Adam Mickiewicz University, as well as Dr. Krzysztof Achtenberg from the Poznań University of Life Sciences.
Participants explored the theoretical foundations of remote sensing and gained hands-on experience in flight planning for data acquisition. They had the opportunity to see and operate advanced drones used in environmental measurements and conduct real-time aerial surveys. On the final day, during computer lab sessions, they learned how to process collected data into terrain models and apply them in spatial analyses.
The summer school was financed by the E-FORESTER project, No. 101182985, implemented within the Horizon Europe programme, in the HORIZON-MSCA-2023-SE-01 call.
